Native Hawaiian
Restoration

Return the land to what it was always meant to be.

  • Site ecological assessment
  • Native species selection by microclimate
  • Removal of invasive species
  • Endemic planting installation
  • Soil preparation & amendment for native plants
  • Irrigation-free design wherever possible
  • Ongoing monitoring & stewardship program

Hawaii has lost more endemic plant species than any other US state. Native Hawaiian restoration is one of the most meaningful things a landowner can do — and when executed well, it produces landscapes of extraordinary character that require minimal intervention once established.

Our restoration engagements begin with a site ecological assessment: soil chemistry, drainage, sun exposure, wind, and existing plant communities. From that baseline, we select indigenous species calibrated to the site's specific microclimate, prioritizing plants that support native bird and insect populations.

Invasive species removal is handled systematically and documented, and new plantings are installed with soil preparation that eliminates the need for ongoing chemical inputs. Many of our native restoration gardens become self-sustaining within two to three growing seasons.
